TITIL is a research institute dedicated to research on how technology, especially computing technology, may support and transform learning. We bring together researchers from the learning and social sciences, engineering, and education to inform, design/implement, and test solutions both in the laboratory and real-world learning settings. Rather than thinking of technology as instruments to support teaching, the Institute emphasizes how learners can use technology to learn.

Innovating technological solutions to support learning requires significant expertise and sophistication across fields. TITIL has a track record of catalyzing meaningful interdisciplinary efforts across the engineering, human-computer interaction, psychology and the learning sciences, and education to produce fundable and impactful work. TITIL provides the interdisciplinary intellectual resources, infrastructure, and seed funding to foster interdisciplinary efforts focused on technology-infused learning
The Institute houses research on K-20 education, and learning support for individuals with disabilities. TITIL scholars work to prepare new generations of thinkers, innovators, and individuals with the skill, will, and know-how to succeed in new economies, significantly impacting issues of economic equity.
The institute’s researchers hail from an interdisciplinary group of Texas A&M colleges, including the Colleges of Architecture, Education and Human Development, Engineering, and Liberal Arts and Science.
